Success for Romania, Russia, Mongolia and Azerbaijan in Olympic qualification

There was success for Romania, Russia, Mongolia and Azerbaijan in Sofia on Friday night as Olympic qualification in women's wrestling continued at the Arena Armeets Sport Hall in the Bulgarian capital.

There was success for Romania, Russia, Mongolia and Azerbaijan in Sofia on Friday night as Olympic qualification in women's wrestling continued at the Arena Armeets Sport Hall in the Bulgarian capital.

Romaina's double European bronze medalist Andreea Beatrice Ana overcame Samantha Leigh Stewart of Canada 4-2 to set up a 53kg final against double European champion Olga Khoroshavtseva of Russia.

Another Russian, Veronika Chumikova, will also be going to Japan after she defeated Grace Jacob Bullen in the 57kg semis.

Mongolia's Bolortuya Khurelkhuu proved too strong for Veranika Ivanova of Belarus in the 62kg class.

And Elis Manolova of Azerbaijan was able to celebrate an emotional victory after she defeated Zhamila Bakbergenova of Kazakhstan.
