This barefoot sprinter clocks 100 m in 11 seconds, Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju assures support for his professional career

24-year old Rameshwar Singh from Madhya Pradesh grabbed the eyeballs of many after a video of him completing a 100m race within 11 seconds went viral on social media. Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan spotted the talent and shared the video of the same on Twitter, urging Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju to extend support to the youngster to achieve his dreams of being an athlete. 

Taking to Twitter, Chouhan said that India was blessed with talented individuals and that if they were provided the right opportunity and platform, then they would come out with flying colours and make history for the country. He tagged the Sports Ministry and Kiren Rijiju to come forward and help Rameshwar Singh. Read the tweet below:

Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju promptly responded to the ex MP-CM and told him that he would enroll the young talent in an athletic academy once he was brought to him. Rad Rijiju's tweet here:

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) revealed that 24-year-old Rameshwar Singh has been called to the body's branch in Bhopal and confirmed that he will be joining the academy shortly. They said that Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju has assured all the support and that the youngster's requirements will be assessed and necessary support will be given to him to make a career in sports.
