The current middleweight king of UFC wants to have a taste of ‘The Soldier of God’ in his next fight but UFC President Dana White doesn't consider it a good idea. Israel Adesanya has defeated everyone in the division to get the middleweight title around his waist but he is yet to face Yoel Romero, and a fight between them could be massive. After knocking out Rober Whittaker in UFC 243, Israel Adesanya (18-0) was lined up against the undefeated Brazilian Paulo Costa (13-0) but Costa has been ruled out due to a bicep injury. In the meantime, with no healthy opponent in line, ‘Mr. Style blender’ expressed his urge to face Yoel Romero next. According to Israel, though Yoel Romero has not been winning for a long time, that doesn't change the fact that he is a bad man. Adesanya is clearly interested in Yoel Romero but will the fight happen at this moment?

UFC: Dana White on Adesanya vs Romero

Adesanya vs Romero is definitely a great match-up but UFC President Dana White thinks that it will be unfair to give another title shot to Romero at this moment. The Soldier of God has lost thrice in his last four fights and he needs to return to the win column before getting his hands on the title, as per Dana. Adesanya wants to fight Romero at the moment and Dana White is reportedly planning to line up Yoel Romero with someone else. The winner of the fight is expected to get a title shot against Adesanya ‘The Styleblender’.

Paulo Costa was expected to get a title shot after successfully beating Yoel Romero but his bicep injury has cost him his match. However, the Brazilian seemed pissed off after seeing Yoel Romero’s name getting popped up for the title shot. He said that, “Romero is a dead man, and he can’t believe that he is actually getting a title shot”.
