Smackdown will be celebrating its 20th anniversary on October 4. From that day onwards Smackdown will officially drop 'Live' and will be known as 'Friday Night Smackdown'. The logo was unveiled by both WWE and Fox. The video featured superstars and divas including the likes of  John Cena, Randy Orton, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and her legendary father Ric Flair, etc. However, the blue brand will not only have some good matches but it will also witness some blockbuster returns on that all-important night as some highly popular as well as the most loved megastars will be under one roof for the occasion.

A blockbuster event

Unlike the Raw Reunion which was held over a couple of months ago, Smackdown will see the return of the Attitude Era stars including The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker. To make things more interesting, the legendary Hulk Hogan will also make his presence felt on Friday Night Smackdown as 'Hulkamania' will be running wild. Even the WCW legend 'Scorpion Sting' has confirmed that he will be a part of the show. Apart from these megastars, others who will be making it to the blue brand this Friday include Mick Foley, Booker T, Mark Henry, Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler, Trish Stratus, Lita, Kurt Angle, and Goldberg. Meanwhile, 'The People's Champion' Rock a.k.a. Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that he is indeed coming to Smackdown to electrify his fans.

The big matches

Apart from the blockbuster returns of various stars, the 20th anniversary of Smackdown has also got a blockbuster match card as well which consists of some nail-biting contests. The 'Big Dog' Roman Reigns will go one on one against Erick Rowan while the star divas Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch will be up against  Bayley and Sasha Banks in a tag team match. Shane McMahon faces  Kevin Owens in a ladder match where the loser must leave WWE. The most eagerly anticipated match of the night will be between Kofi Kingston and the 'Beast Incarnate' Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship. The event will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
