Mattek-Sands and Kenin win deciding doubles rubber as USA beat Latvia

USA led 2-0 coming into Saturday's action, but Latvia fought back in the reverse singles to level the match at 2-2.

Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin helped put the United States into the Fed Cup Finals on Saturday, after teaming up with Bethanie Mattek-Sands to win the deciding doubles rubber in their qualifying match against Latvia in Everett, Washington.

USA led 2-0 coming into Saturday's action, but Latvia fought back in the reverse singles to level the match at 2-2.

Then it came down to Kenin and Mattek-Sands versus Jelena Ostapekno and Anastasija Sevastova and after a tight first set, USA eventually ran out 6-4, 6-0 winners in an hour and 15 minutes to take a 3-2 victory.
