Shock and awe at Wimbledon as Netizens spot a person who wasn't interested in Federer-Nadal

While a fierce competition ensued between long-time rivals Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals of the Wimbledon at the Centre Court and the crowd were holding their nerves in the nail-biting and jaw-dropping clash, a boy in a floral shirt was spotted sitting among the audience, reading a book as the contest continued.

While a fierce competition ensued between long-time rivals Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals of the Wimbledon at the Centre Court and the crowd were holding their nerves in the nail-biting and jaw-dropping clash, a boy in a floral shirt was spotted sitting among the audience, reading a book as the contest continued. 

While the rest of the audience continuously moved their eyes from one side of the court to the other, following the rally, the boy quietly sat in the stands, absorbed in his book, unaware of the game's pace and thrill. 

Many took to social media to ponder over what possible book was he reading that could possibly be more interesting than the match itself. Here are some of the reactions:

Another fan commended the reading habit of the young kid and said that the kid had a bright future ahead of him. 

One fan said that she was happy that the kid was reading a book and not looking into a digital device. 

Swiss ace Roger Federer beat long-time rival Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals of the Wimbledon to confirm a berth in the finals of the Wimbledon 2019 on July 12. The epic showdown was a rematch of the 2008 contest that saw the king of the clay court emerge victorious in the fierce competition.  

The 37-year-old eight-time champion won 7-6 (7/3), 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the pair’s 40th career meeting to move into his 31st Grand Slam final where he will face defending champion Novak Djokovic.
