Serbia's Novak Djokovic on Sunday won his seventh Australian Open title and 15th Grand slam title by defeating Rafael Nadal 6-3 6-2 6-3 in the final of the first major slam of the year. It was a stunning performance by the World No.1, as he humbled his Spanish compatriot to follow up on the US Open 2018 title.
Though, for once, his heroics on the turf of Australian Open wasn't even even his highlight of his tournament. Him winning the trophy would have made his fans happy, but his actions off the field following the success in final made even his biggest detractors proud of him.
A video has went viral on social media and is winning the netizens in which Djokovic, after beating Nadal, handed one of his fan a signed jacket of his. The fan, who wanted the Serbian's autograph, had nothing with himself. Seeing that, the World No.1 took off his jacket, signed it, and handed it to the lucky fan.
Twitterati were in awe with this gesture of Djokovic, and lauded him for his simplicity and humility.
