John Cena is perhaps the most beloved superstar and one of the most accomplished icons in the history of the WWE with a record 16 World Championship victories. Despite transitioning from the squared circle to Hollywood in recent years, John Cena still remains one of the highest-paid WWE Superstars and now makes occasional appearances to the WWE programming. Cena has had quite a successful acting career while he also worked on rap music.
John Cena is indeed the biggest draw in the WWE and reportedly takes home a base salary of $8.5 as of mid-2018, which isn’t far behind Brock Lesnar who is the highest-paid athlete in the promotion with a staggering $12 million.
This is the annual estimate that the superstar is entitled to and does not include the merchandise sales and bonuses from headlining pay-per-view events. Interestingly, John Cena, who has been called the 'Golden Goose' of the company had dominated merchandise sales for well over a decade, before getting surpassed by the likes of Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch, which could be attributed to his part-time schedule.
John Cena has a net worth which currently stands at an estimated $55 million as of this year, dethroning Triple H, who is the Executive Vice President of WWE talents.
Other reports suggest that the 16-time World Champion will soon return to the ring, although there are no reports on his next WWE appearance. However, in a recent interview with NBC, the franchise player himself assured his fans that he intends to wrestle for the company in the future and will never walk away from the promotion. Meanwhile, his fans can watch him in his latest film Playing with Fire which opened up on Friday.
