WWE recently signed two new people – former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez, and lineal heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury. After signing these champions, WWE has more appeal among viewers due to them being crossovers with combat sports. The WWE COO, Triple H, recently talked about these signing on a podcast. As Cain Velasquez has now signed a multi-year contract with WWE, his Saudi Arabia appearance will not be his last. If he manages to defeat Brock Lesnar, he could also be the next WWE champion.

WWE News: Triple H wants to turn Cain Velasquez into a WWE Superstar

Triple H believes that the crossover is not only 'awesome' and 'great' for just WWE, but also for boxing and MMA. The COO also said that people at times forget that WWE is a global company and that it 'transcends' language and nationalities. Wrestlers like Brock Lesnar are household names because of the WWE, and its global reach. He thinks of WWE as a 'one true sport' that is everywhere. Since it will reach places where MMA might not be as big, it will benefit both sides. Hence, he believes that WWE creates appeal for everybody. Triple H is also excited to bring talent into WWE. Tyson Fury is one of the greatest boxers, while Cain Velasquez's career in MMA is also noteworthy. Triple H does not think that there is anything anyone will have to say about the crossovers.

Previously, WWE has taken athletes like Mark Henry and Ronda Rousey, turning them into WWE stars. However, there is still doubt about athletes being able to fulfil the entertainment quota in WWE. Triple H also addressed these concerns during the podcast. He talks about almost a year ago when Velasquez visited the Performance Center. Triple H believes that Velasquez has 'reinvented' himself in a year, and can do more than just fight. Velasquez and Fury will both make WWE debuts at the Crown Jewel on October 31 in Saudi Arabia. Fury will face Braun Strowman, while Velasquez will take on Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship.
