WWE WrestleMania: Tyson Fury challenges Brock Lesnar for a match at WrestleMania 36

After defeating Braun Strowman at the Crown Jewel PPV, Boxer Tyson Fury has challenged current WWE Champion Brock Lesnar for a match at WWE WrestleMania 36.

After defeating Braun Strowman at the Crown Jewel PPV, Boxer Tyson Fury has challenged WWE Champion Brock Lesnar for a match at the biggest event in WWE. Fury, who recently arrived as a guest at the recent episode of Corey Graves’ ‘After the Bell’ podcast, revealed that he is not giving up on his pro-wrestling dreams and wished to fight the Beast Incarnate. “I want to fight Brock Lesnar next. One clip from the Gypsy King and he’ll wake up in Tokyo,” said Fury.

According to wrestling reporter Dave Meltzer, Fury was scheduled to fight Lesnar at the Crown Jewel PPV, but the plan to rest when Cain Velasquez became available. Some reports also reveal that the storyline between Lesnar and Velasquez was must better than the storyline created for Fury vs Lesnar match. Fury is currently busy training for his upcoming match against Deontay Wilder which is scheduled to take place on February 22, 2020.

WWE Crown Jewel: Braun Strowman vs Tyson Fury match overview

The match started with Fury delivering some lightning-quick some lefts and rights which seem to have some effect on the monster. Strowman made a comeback after hitting Fury on the face with his right hand. Strowman then ran a circle around the ring to deliver his iconic shoulder tackle, but Fury caught him with a dropkick. Back inside the ring, Strowman recovered and trapped Fury to deliver a Powerslam, but Fury got out and dropped the monster across the ropes.

After a failed pin attempt, Fury tried to drop his opponent with a tackle but missed as Strowman slammed him to the mat. The Monster Among Men again started running circles, but this time successfully tackled the boxer with his shoulder. In the later part of the match, Strowman delivered some successful shoulder tackles, grounding himself in the process. As Strowman attempted to climb back in the ring, Fury punched him on the face knocking him on the floor. The referee counted to 10 and Strowman was not able to recover or get inside the ring. Fury won the match via a countdown.
