Amit Shah, the union minister of India, has recently revealed that preparations to fortify India's bid to host the 2036 Olympics have been made. Shah revealed that as many as ten big stadiums would be built at Ahmedabad's Sardar Patel Sports Complex, which houses the world's largest cricket-playing venue, the Narendra Modi Stadium. The ten sporting venues would be made around the famous cricket stadium.

Union Minister of India, Amit Shah, laid the foundation stone of the Para High-Performance Centre worth INR 316.82 Crore in Gujarat's Gandhinagar via virtual presence. He re-affirmed the country's bid to host the 2036 Olympics in India, something which has been highlighted by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. The union minister added that preparations have also started for the same. The decision to introduce ten stadiums could help India's chances to bring the Summer Olympics to the country, which will be hosted in Los Angeles and Brisbane in the upcoming two editions in 2028 and 2032.
"India has resolved to hold the 2036 Olympic Games in these 10 complexes. Gujarat has already started preparations for this event," Amit Shah revealed, as quoted by PTI.
Amit Shah also spoke highly of the upcoming Para High-Performance Centre, which he believes would deliver a platform for the strengths of the ones who are differently-abled. The Union Minister also expressed that it would play a key role in delivering top-tier training to the para-athletes of Gujarat, and it would help develop them for competitions of all levels.

"It will provide a platform for the strengths of the differently-abled. In the past, people used derogatory words for the differently-abled, which created a sense of inferiority in them. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has instilled confidence in the differently-abled by giving them the respectful word 'divyang'," The Union Minister of India said.

PM Modi Voices His Enthusiasm To Bring Olympics In India
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been actively rallying to bring the Summer Olympics to India, and he addressed his interest in bringing it to the country during his US visit in September 2024.
"...Only a few days ago, the Paris Olympics concluded. Very soon, you will witness the Olympics in India too. We are putting in all possible efforts to host the 2036 Olympics," PM Modi said during his address in New York, as per ANI.
The development to make India a major sporting hub has been a huge dream of the sitting government, and they have made significant developments for it. Whether or not they would become the hosts to the 2038 Olympics is yet to be seen.
