Ginting, Li through to the quarter-finals of Yonex Thailand Open

No.5 seed Anthony Sinisuka Ginting of Indonesia cruised to the quarter-finals of Yonex Thailand Open on Thursday after beating local talent Kunlavut Vitidsarn in two games 21-16, 21-19 in Bangkok, Thailand.

No.5 seed Anthony Sinisuka Ginting of Indonesia cruised to the quarter-finals of Yonex Thailand Open on Thursday after beating local talent Kunlavut Vitidsarn in two games 21-16, 21-19 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Eighth seeded Michelle Li from Canada, beat Sung Ji Hyun of Korea in two games, 21-17, 21-17, advancing to the top 8 of women's singles in the tournament.

Indonesian veteran men's double pair,  No.2 seed Mohanmmad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan beat Indian pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty in two games 21-19, 21-17 and were through to the quarter-finals.

Local mixed double pair, No.1 seeded Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai, became the first pair of local players on Thursday making the quarter-finals, after beating Malaysian pair Goh Soon Huat and Lai Sevon Jemie in three games 20-22, 21-18, 21-12, in one hour and 3 minutes battle on court.
