Indian Badminton ace PV Sindhu struggled to gain an advantage in her comeback competition at the All England Open 2025. At the Arena Birmingham, The Indian shuttler sustained a difficult loss to world number 21 Kim Ga Eun after dropping a huge advantage to the South Korean and losing the game by 21-19, 13-21, 13-21.
PV Sindhu Falters Again, Loses To Lower Ranked Star At All England Open
PV Sindhu returned to action after making a successful recovery from a hamstring injury. The Indian shuttle ace was positioned in a draw against world number 21 Kim Ga Eun at the All England Open 2025 in Birmingham. However, Sindhu suffered a huge setback after facing a tough loss in the competition. For the two-time Olympic medalist, it is certainly difficult as her losing streak continues.
PV Sindhi picked up a strong finish in the first game with a 21-19 lead and looked composed in the competition against South Korea's Kim Ga Eun in the women's singles opening Round of 32 at the All England Open 2025. But the Korean bounced back strongly with proper shot selection as Sindhu struggled to find her groove in the final two games. The match between the two superstar shuttlers lasted an hour and a minute, with a confident Kim gaining the upper hand over Sindhu to advance in the tournament.

It's Getting Difficult For PV Sindhu
It was another disappointing ending for PV Sindhu, as she hasn't been in winning ways lately as she exited in the Indonesia Masters. At the Indian Open Super 750, Sindhu's race ended in the quarterfinal round. She then failed to recover against Kim Ga Eun at the All-England Open. The Korean made use of Sindhu's shortcomings and did not let the Indian star rally back into the competition. The Indian shuttler also had taping around her affected right knee, which may have limited her performance.
However, India's Rohan Kapoor and Ruthvika Shivani Gadde advanced to the second round of the mixed doubles competition after defeating Nicole Gonzales Chan and Ye Hong Wei of Taipei with a 21-10 17-21 24-22 lead. The Indian duo would now be up against fifth seeds, Yan Zhe Feng and Ya Xin Wei of China.
