Yamaguchi beats An Se-young to win her first Malaysia Open title

Number one seed Akane Yamaguchi came from a game down to beat the second seed An Se-young to win the BWF World Tour Super 1000 Malaysia Open in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
It was the Japanese world champion's 5th win over the 20-year-old Korean in their 6th encounter at the finals of BWF World Tour events since 2020.
The win was her first ever in a Malaysia Open final.
China won two titles through top seeds Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong in mixed doubles, as well as Chen Qingchen and Jia Yifan in women's doubles.
