Double Olympic gold medalist Kaillie Humphries of Canada was among the first athletes to arrive in Beijing for Winter Olympic test events on Thursday.

Bobsleigh and skeleton athletes from 23 countries including Canada, Germany, Italy, Russia, Belgium and South Korea experienced China's first sliding track for the first time.

The National Sliding Centre, also known as the Sliding Dragon, is the 17th sliding track in the world, the third in Asia, and the first in China.

The Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 will take place between 4 and 20 February.
