David Warner silences the naysayers after his sublime ton vs Pakistan

Australia's opening batsman, David Warner, entered with a mindset that he would show up and stand out on the first day of the test match against Pakistan at the Optus Stadium in Perth. The batter came in and activated his T20 mode and it was raining shots all over the stadium. Warner successfully hit his 26th Test ton in his farewell tour and provided a banging start to the Aussies in the match.

After reaching his century, Warner celebrated with zeal and then pointed his finger to his lips as he looked above the sky.

Warner's gesture was for all his critics, including Mitchell Johnson, who asserted that the opening better did not deserve a farewell tour after the sandpaper scandal.

As the second session came to a close, Aussie legend Ricky Ponting chatted up with David Warner about scoring a ton against Pakistan and the gesture that he made during his celebration.

'It does feel great, it’s about putting runs on the board for the bowlers. No better way to silence the critics than by putting runs on the board,' The Aussie opener said.
