If reports are to be believed, a case has been filed against the fan belonging to the Kadapa District of Andhra Pradesh for allegedly breaching security cordon at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad. Police inspector P Venkateswarlu said a case of trespassing was slapped against 19-year-old Mohammad Khan, who flouted the security rules to get up close with Virat Kohli.

The incident happened in the morning session, when Kohli was fielding at mid-wicket. The man upon spotting the Indian skipper jumped the barricade and sprinted towards Virat Kohli, before taking out his phone and trying to capture a selfie with the Indian run-machine.

However, Virat Kohli was clearly not pleased with the incident, as the man even tried to plant a kiss on the Indian skipper. After witnessing the chaos happening in the middle of the field, the security intervened and hauled the fan off the field.

With play delayed due to the incident, the umpires decided to call for a drinks break. Post that, one of the on-field umpires, Ian Gould was spotted having a chat with Virat Kohli who seemed visibly upset.

Fans breaching security personnel and invading the pitch to get a glimpse of Virat Kohli has become a common spectacle off lately. Though, this is not the first time Virat Kohli has been swamped by fans during the course of a match. A similar incident had happened during the first Test in Rajkot, where two fans had surrounded Kohli as they wanted to take a selfie with him.
