MS Dhoni celebrated his 43rd birthday on July 7, 2024. The former India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper was last seen in IPL 2024 and since then has stayed away from limelight. The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was considered to be MS Dhoni's last dance, but the former CSK skipper has kept quiet on his future plans. Dhoni, whose last appearance for India was in the semi-finals of the 2019 ODI World Cup, announced his international retirement on August 14, 2020

Ruturaj Gaikwad who won two IPL championships (2021 & 2023 ) with Chennai Super Kings was handed over the leadership duties before the start of IPL 2024. The 'Yellow Army' who were the defending champions missed out of the playoffs just by a whisker. Currently Ruturaj Gaikwad is on national duty with Team India busy playing 5 away T20Is against Zimbabwe. India lost the first match by 13 runs and are currently 1-0 down in the series. Taking some time out from his busy schedule, the CSK skipper video called MS Dhoni to extend his warm wishes. He also went ahead and posted about the same on his official Instagram account

The former Indian skipper has always been someone who has preferred to stay away from the limelight. MS Dhoni is hardly active on social media and is only seen when he is travelling apart from the 2 busy months of the IPL. MS Dhoni has 5 IPL titles to his name, the joint highest with Rohit Sharma for Mumbai Indians. Taking to her official Instagram handle, MS Dhoni's wife Sakshi Dhoni shared a special glimpse from MS Dhoni's 43rd birthday celebrations. Recently MS Dhoni posted about India's T20 World Cup win and it broke the internet. The former India and CSK skipper is currently dealing with injuries to his knee and it is unsure if he'll return to the Chennai camp to play the next edition of the Indian Premier League.
