England opening batsman Dom Sibley revealed on Monday he lost 12 kilogrammes during the coronavirus lockdown after feeling "self-conscious" about his weight during the recent tour of Sri Lanka.

The first match in a three-Test series agaainst West Indies starts on Wednesday at Hampshire's home ground, the Ageas Bowl and Sibley is expected to play as Ben Stokes captains England for the first time.

Stokes is standing in for Joe Root, who is concentrating on his family and the birth of his second child.

24 year-old Sibley, who plays his domestic cricket for Warwickshire, has averaged over 40 in his six Test appearances to date and made an impressive maiden century during the 2nd Test against South Africa in Cape Town earlier this year.
