Star all-rounder Ben Stokes, stated that considering the workload of captaining the Test team, he must consider his options carefully about ODI cricket. The 32-year-old hasn't ruled anything out, though, since he believes his body is in better shape than it has been in the previous 18 months.

Ben Stokes on his future in ODI format
Due to a knee injury, Stokes was unable to participate in the first three World Cup games. Having reversed his ODI retirement for the World Cup, the all-rounder ended with 304 runs at 50.67 in 6 matches.
"I think to answer that one it goes back to my initial reason for stepping away from this format, to ease my workload. As Test captain, there is a lot of stuff coming up. There's a lot of stuff that I want to do with that Test team. It will be a decision that I'm probably going to have to think about, quite hard, to produce an outcome. You never know the body might be in a lot better position than it was in the last 18 months." Stokes told Sky Sports after the match.

The previous three games saw the Durham all-rounder perform exceptionally well, scoring 64, 108, and 84 runs. In Pune, he scored his lone World Cup century against the Netherlands.

England's Test captain said that the backroom staff is great despite England's inability to retain their crown, but he also hinted that a reconstruction project involving the next generation of players is imminent.
"When you look at the personnel that we have available it is very, very exciting and it's very, very good. In terms of this group, that's a decision that isn't up to me. But I think everybody knows the class that the dressing room has. I think they'll just have to do some kind of discussion, from the top, and see where people go."
