England unveil 16-member Test squad for tour of India, three uncapped players included
Ben Stokes has been named the captain of the team, while Ollie Pope will serve as his deputy on the tour of India.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Monday unveiled a 16-member squad for their upcoming Test series in India. The five-match Test series is scheduled to start in Hyderabad on January 25. Ben Stokes has been named the captain of the team, while Ollie Pope will serve as his deputy. The squad comprises three Test-level players who are yet to receive their caps, featuring the inclusion of fast bowler Gus Atkinson, along with off-spinners Tom Hartley and Shoaib Bashir.
The last time England visited India for a Test series, they lost 3-1. Apart from the first Test in Chennai, England failed to perform to the best of their abilities on spinning Indian tracks.
