'I am not sure... hope he proves me wrong': Gavaskar concerned for Prasidh Krishna before test debut
Ahead of the match against South Africa, Sunil Gavaskar has shared his concern over Prasidh Krishna ahead of his test cricket debut.

Team India will be in action at a Boxing Day test match, and they will be facing South Africa in a two-match test series. It will be crucial as Team India's Grade A+ players will be in action for the first time since the ODI World Cup. The Team will also have a debutant, who will be in action against the Mighty Proteas. The hosts have been quite a force to deal with as they have won at least one match in the All-format series.

Former India batter cites concerns over debuting India star at SA test series
As Team India will begin their red-ball series against the Proteas, the visitors will have a debuting cricketer in Prasidh Krishna. The 27-year-old fast bowler could be handed his debut cap in one of the test matches. But an Indian Cricket legend is noticeably concerned about his debut, as Krishna is coming off an injury and has to bowl for a longer time. While speaking on the Star Sports' 'Follow The Blues' program, Sunil Gavaskar said:

"I am not sure about Prasidh Krishna. He has come back from an injury. If he is required to bowl 15-20 overs in the day, I am not sure if he will be able to do that. I hope he proves me wrong because if anybody proves me wrong, that means India are doing well and if India are doing well, I am very happy."
