IND vs SA: Rare moment occurs on the field

In an extremely rare instance, Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was involved in a misfield during the second Test match between India and South Africa. The incident occurred on Day 2 during South Africa's second innings when Mohammed Siraj was bowling to Aiden Markram.

Markram cut away a delivery to the third man, where Jadeja sprints and puts in a dive to save the boundary. However, Jadeja accidentally pushed the ball across the boundary pads in an attempt to scoop it back. The moment was captured on video camera.

Note, that Jadeja did not play the first Test match against South Africa due to injury concerns. He was ruled out because of a back spasm. Ashwin played in place of Jadeja in the opening Test.

As far as the match is concerned, India bowled beatifully on Day 2 with Jasprit Bumrah taking a five-wicket haul. However, Aiden Markram struck back with a classy century following a dropped catch from KL Rahul that gave him a second chance.
