Indian cricketer Venkatesh Iyer recently shared joyous news on Instagram, announcing his engagement to Shruti Raghunathan. The delightful photos capture the couple gazing into each other's eyes, with Venkatesh in a light green kurta and Shruti elegantly draped in a printed saree. Venkatesh Iyer has been out of action for the Indian team since February 2022 when he played in a T20I game against Sri Lanka.

Who is Shruti Raghunathan?

While details about Shruti Raghunathan are limited due to her private Instagram account, reports suggest she holds a B.Com degree from PSG College of Arts and Science and a Master's degree in Fashion Management from NIFT, India. Presently, she reportedly serves as a Merchandise Planner at Lifestyle International Private Limited in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Venkatesh Iyer captioned the Instagram post, expressing excitement for the "next chapter" in his life. Congratulatory messages poured in from fellow cricketers such as Ruturaj Gaikwad, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Mandeep Singh.

Venkatesh Iyer, a left-handed batter and right-arm medium-pace bowling all-rounder, is renowned for his contributions to the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL). His impressive track record includes 956 runs in 36 matches, featuring one century and seven fifties.

Iyer was the player behind KKR's rapid success in IPL 2021, when they managed to reach the final despite losing the first seven games of the season. However, KKR lost to Chennai Super Kings in the final of that year's IPL.
