The historic World Cup winning runs also came from his bat in the final. Then in the bilateral series against India, he scored a century in the 3rd T20 to once again take Australia past the target. It has been almost a decade since the world started witnessing the exploits of Maxwell, and it all began with the phenomenal IPL 2014 season.

He gets immense cheering from the Indian crowd whenever he walks onto the field in IPL, and it seems the love is mutual.
