Singh was one of the favourites to get retained by KKR ahead of the official release of the retention list and it turns out he became the first entry by the defending champions.
KKR retained Rinku Singh for INR 13 crores, which highlights a precise percentage increase of 2263.64% from his earlier earnings of 55 lakhs. Rinku is the first pick of Kolkata, which stations him above other proven match winners like Sunil Narine and Andre Russell in the pecking order.

- Sixth retention: Ramandeep Singh- 4 crore
KKR have spent 57 crores in finalising their retentions and are now they will enter the bidding war with 63 crores.
