Harsha Bhogle takes issue with fans comparing star player to MS Dhoni

Team India batsman Rinku Singh was a prime centre of attraction when he was recognized in the IPL while playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders. Soon after, he received his Team India call-up during the Ireland series. Rinku is now a part of the T20I squad which is playing against Australia. His batting skills and finishing abilities have the fans going gaga, and they have been comparing him with the likes of MS Dhoni, one of the finest Team India skippers. 

But Harsha Bhogle has seemingly taken some issue with people comparing him with the legendary Team India skipper. The veteran commentator took to X, [Formerly Twitter] and put up a statement.

'Been reading a few reports of Rinku Singh finishing like Dhoni. He is a wonderful talent who has worked very hard to reach here. But spare him the connection. Let the young man play his cricket with joy and freedom and revel in being Rinku,' Bhogle mentioned.

How good has Rinku Singh been in the T20I series vs AUS so far?

In the Ireland series, Rinku Singh emerged as a star of the match as he secured 38 runs off 21 balls, which adjudged him the player of the match.

In the IND vs AUS T20I series, Rinku's skills have allowed him to be a reliable middle-order batsman who has the qualities to take the game to the next level with his innings. So far, Rinku has been on an upward trajectory, and it will allow him to reach new levels in International cricket.
