Mitchell Marsh-led Australia's shocking exit from the T20 World Cup had got everybody talking about it. One of the favourites to win the T20 World Cup for the second time, Australia's horrific loss against Afghanistan costed them the coveted silverware. With players like Travis Head, David Warner, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood, Australia had a team that was worthy of becoming champions. This was the same team that won the ODI World Cup last year in India.
Left arm pacer Mitchell Starc has been a stalwart for Australian cricket for many many years. The tall left-handed seamer knows how to perform under pressure and has always delivered for his team. Starc has won all the major ICC trophies with Australia and he doesn't seem to be in the mood to stop. Earlier this year, Starc also became the highest paid player in the history of the IPL auctions and he delivered a stunning performance for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the knockouts.
Australia dealt with a major blow to their semi-final qualification dreams as they were outplayed by Afghanistan in the Super 8 stage. Afghanistan have always been a very strong side with quality spinners at their disposal. Irrespective of everything, Australia had an upper hand in the match but to everybody's shock, they ended on the losing side. Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc was left out of the eleven for that particular match and now he has come down hard on the team management while speaking on the 'Willow Talk' podcast.
They saw previous games on that ground with spin playing a part and obviously Ash and the left-armer enticing them to make change. We finished ahead of England and end up where we were pre-seeded as the second side.

The recently concluded T20 World Cup has faced a lot of flak dues to the logistical issues that created hassle for players. Starc has now weighed into the matter and has said that it was extremely difficult for the team to travel around West Indies considering the fact that the World Cup is a big tournament.
