Mohammad Shami slams Mitchell Marsh for putting feet on ODI World Cup trophy
Australia once again proved their dominance in international cricket as they were able to win their sixth ODI World Cup trophy by beating India.

Indian pacer Mohammad Shami had a brilliant ODI World Cup 2023 with the ball and picked up a total of 24 wickets from seven games. Shami took a total of three-wicket hauls in the tournament and also played an important role in the Indian team's 10-match winning streak. The ‘Men in Blue’ however, missed out on winning the tournament and lost to Australia in the final by six wickets.

Mohammad Shami slams Mitchell Marsh for disrespecting ODI World Cup trophy
Indian pacer Mohammad Shami while speaking to reporters on Thursday slammed Australian batter Mitchell Marsh for disrespecting the ODI World Cup trophy and stated that he is hurt by the gesture. Marsh was seen clicking a photo after winning CWC 2023 by keeping his legs on the World Cup trophy. Mohammad Shami said:
I am hurt. The trophy for which all the teams in the world fights, the trophy which you want to lift over your head, keeping a foot on that trophy did not make me happy.
Mohammad Shami's brilliant performance in the Indian team
Mohammad Shami missed from the first four matches of the 2023 ODI World Cup as he was not fit in the Indian team's balance. However, Shami got a chance to play against New Zealand after the all-rounder was injured due to an ankle injury. Shami picked up a fifer against the Kiwis and proved his worth in the team. Shami's brilliant performance continued and picked up fifer against Sri Lanka and also removed seven batsmen against the Kiwis in the first semi final.
