Ind vs Ban: India pacer Mohammed Siraj who looked in good rhythm during his first spell has left the ground with a sore leg. Siraj picked up the injury while trying to save a boundary. He left the ground and now it is unsure when he will return. There is no official update from the Indian board on the nature and magnitude of the injury. Once Siraj left the field, Sarfaraz Khan walked in as a substitute. Fans would be hoping that it is nothing serious and is just a niggle because India have a long home season and then the side heads off to Australia for the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy. And Siraj would be an integral part of the team then.

Current Scenario

At the time of filing the copy, India were in the box seat having reduced Bangladesh to 110 for seven. Bangladesh are under threat of following-on. After being away from action for a few overs, Siraj was back in the park with his second spell. Siraj has already picked up a wicket and it was the big fish Najmul Shanto. Siraj has looked in very good rhythm, where he is running in hard and putting the balls in the right areas.

AS IT HAPPENED, Day 2

Meanwhile, pacer Akash Deep's twin strike helped India reduce Bangladesh to an edgy 26 for three at lunch and tighten their grip on the first Test on just the second day of the match.

Skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto (15) and Mushfiqur Rahim (4) were at the crease when lunch was taken. The visitors were 350 runs adrift of India's 376 all out after Akash rocked them early (2/5).

India, resuming from overnight 339 for six, were bowled out for 376 in their first innings, a total built around excellent knocks by Ravichandran Ashwin (113, 133 balls, 11x4, 2x6) and Ravindra Jadeja (86, 124 balls, 10x4, 2x6).
