Rohit Sharma was once again the lone wolf for India in the batting department as the men in blue's batting concerns against Sri Lanka continued in the second ODI as well. India shockingly lost to Sri Lanka while chasing a total of just 241 runs.
India were in complete control when Rohit Sharma was batting as he scored a blistering knock of 64 runs in 44 balls. However, once Rohit Sharma's wicket fell, India's batting collapsed as they plummeted to a 32-run defeat in the second ODI.
Despite India's loss, Rohit Sharma managed to create a unique record which no other Indian opener has ever achieved in One Day Internationals.
Hitman Rohit Sharma in his blistering knock of 64 runs smashed a total of 4 sixes. And with those 4 sixes, Rohit Sharma became the first Indian opener to hit 300 sixes in One Day Internationals.
Rohit Sharma has hit a total of 302 sixes in 177 matches and is only the second opener in history of cricket to smash 300 sixes in an ODI game.

However, despite this accolade Rohit Sharma was left frustrated with his team's effort as India in their first two games against Sri Lanka were completely lacklustre with the bat.
In the first game as well, India chasing a low total got off to a good start led by Rohit Sharma but lost their way towards the middle overs and in the ended managed to end the game in a tie.
New Assistant coach of Indian Cricket Team Abhishekh Nayar also expressed that the loss was shocking and they need to improve their performance.
