Sreesanth may land in trouble as LLC issues notice after pacer lambasts Gambhir over 'fixer' row

Situations between former Team India stars S Sreesanth and Gautam Gambhir have gotten tense after their match in the Legends League Cricket. Their verbal altercation led to the veteran pacer firing off criticism over Gambhir, which led to a slight social media back and forth between the two. It looks like things have taken a turn as LLC has stood up to monitor the situation, and Sreesanth has landed in legal trouble.

LLC releases statement over the Sreesanth-Gambhir 'Fixer' rant

After Sreesanth goes into a full-fledged rant over social media, the LLC has taken the matter seriously and has stated the situation. Syed Kirmani, Head of Code of Conduct & Ethics Committee, Legends League Cricket, mentioned in an official statement:

Legends League Cricket strives to uphold the spirit of cricket and sportsmanship and will conduct an internal investigation on the violation of the code of conduct. Any misconduct that has occurred both on and off the field including on social media platforms will be dealt with strictly. The code of conduct has clearly stated that necessary action will be taken against players that bring disrepute to the league, the spirit of the game and the teams that they are representing. We make our stand very clear and continue to work towards sharing the game with millions of cricketing lovers across the nation and world.

The statement by LLC also said that action will be taken against the ones who will be found guilty of violating their contract.

Who initiated the feud between Gautam Gambhir and S Sreesanth?

Seemingly, it all began in the India Capitals innings' second over. After Sreesanth received the ball and executed his typical run-up, Gambhir, the Capitals' opener, came barreling down the track and clobbered him for a six.

Gambhir was not done, as he hit Sreesanth's following ball for a boundary, which went between his legs, nutmeg style. Things eventually took a rash turn after Sreesanth gave Gambhir a lingering stare, and it all went downhill after that.
