Suryakumar Yadav has yet again showcased that he is the very best when it comes to the T20 format. The right-hander got to his 4th international T20I century during the 3rd match against South Africa. With it, he has equalled the record of Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell to become the joint highest centurion in the format.

Suryakumar Yadav registers 4th T20I ton, equals Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell

After being invited to bat first, Team India exhibited an aggressive approach from the outset. However, disaster struck the Men in Blue as Keshav Maharaj took two in two in the form of Shubman Gill and Tilak Varma. The early loss of wickets brought the skipper Suryakumar Yadav to the crease in the third over itself. SKY and Yashasvi Jaiswal launched a counter-attack on South Africa and kept on striking at the rate of 10 in an over. The two put on a magnificent 112 stand and following that Jaiswal held out after making an exceptional 60 in just 41 balls.

The wicket did not slow down Surya as he continued to strike sixes and fours. Subsequently, after playing 55 balls he got to the esteemed ton. This was Suryakumar Yadav's 4th century in the T20I format, the most that any individual has gotten to.

Courtesy of Suryakumar Yadav's blistering innings, Team India got to a total of 201, and are in with a chance to level the three-match series 1-1.

It should be noted that the first match of the series was washed out, whereas South Africa got the better of India in the second T20. The result of the 3rd T20I will determine the bottom line of the series.
