The 'Mankading' incident which took place between Kings XI Punjab skipper Ravichandran Ashwin and Rajasthan Royals opening batsman Jos Buttler has ended up grabbing the headlines and has also attracted mixed reviews from the Cricket fraternity. The controversial incident took place during the 13th over of Rajasthan's innings when Ashwin had dislodged the bails after he saw Buttler come down the wicket while he was about to bowl. He appealed for a run out and the third umpire gave the verdict in his favour much to the surprise of Buttler who went back to the dugout after scoring a 43-ball 69. Buttler was so disappointed that he did not shake hands with the Punjab skipper after the game. He was also disappointed by the fact that Ashwin had not warned him about the same.

However, things did not end there as Ashwin was criticized by the legends of the game as well as netizens. At the same time, he also found some supporters who backed him and then there were others who hit back at Jos Buttler. But, while criticizing Jos Buttler they did not realize that they were hitting out at some other person. The person whom they were targetting was Josh Butler and not the English batsman Jos Buttler. Josh Butler who is a reporter took to Twitter to make the netizens aware that they had the wrong Butler.

The netizens after having realized their mistake replied to Josh:

This was not the first time Buttler was 'Mankaded'. He was dismissed in a similar manner by Sachitra Senanayake during the 2014 bilateral ODI series against Sri Lanka. Unlike Ashwin, Senanayake had warned him during his previous over.
