Eoin Morgan made a huge statement ahead of India vs Australia World Cup final

Morgan, in an interview with Sky Sports, emphasised the significance of the Australian team's mental preparation for the final. Noting that Pat Cummins' side was bowled out for 199 runs in Chennai in Australia's tournament opener loss to India, Morgan recognised the difficulty of the task at hand. Morgan said he believed Australia could beat India, but he also said he knew it would be a difficult assignment. He said: 

“I think a lot of it is mental preparation...Australia are a side that have the genuine chance of overturning the force that India have been in this World Cup,”

"It is difficult to find a weakness in this Indian team. They have all bases covered. Even after injury to their star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, Indians did not lose momentum. Nasser (Hussain) feels that Aussies need to find a weakness in their bowling when they bat by targetting every bowler and if any of them crumbles, go after him," 

Australia must take an offensive stance against the fearsome Indian bowlers, according to the captain of England's World Cup winning team in 2019. He emphasised the need of adopting a strong posture, particularly while facing India's bowling lineup, and recommended that Australia concentrate on proactive and aggressive tactics to neutralise the potency of the Indian bowling assault in the World Cup 2023 final.
