Indian batter Virat Kohli once again proved why he is one of the best batsmen in world cricket by smashing his 50th ODI ton during the IND vs NZ ODI World Cup 2023 match. He surpassed veteran batter Sachin Tendulkar. The modern-day great slammed his 80th international hundred and now will be eyeing to take his team to an ODI World Cup victory after a gap of 12 years.

As Virat Kohli reached his 50th ODI century, legendary footballer David Beckham was also amongst the greats to cheer for his milestone. The British legend is on a three-day India trip and had come to witness the India vs New Zealand ODI World Cup 2023 semi-final match.
India put up a powerful batting display in the CWC 2023 semi-finals
The Indian cricket team started off with a bang as Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill added 71 runs for the first wicket. Rohit Sharma got out after playing a blistering knock of 47 runs off 29 balls. After Rohit's departure Gill took the charge and played an innings of 80 runs before getting retired hurt. Gill's innings consisted of 8 fours and three sixes.
Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer assumed charge after the departure of Gill. Both score a century each in the match and took India to a total of 397/4 in 50 overs. New Zealand need 398 runs to win the match.
