Australia once again showed their dominance in world cricket by lifting their sixth ODI World Cup on Sunday, November 19. The Pat Cummins-led side defeated India in the 2023 ODI World Cup final and won the game by six wickets courtesy of a brilliant hundred from batter Tarvis Head.

Australian opener David Warner, who most probably played his last ODI World Cup, had a decent tournament with the bat and scored 535 runs from 11 games. Warner slammed a total of two centuries and two fifties at an average of 48.63. However, the Australian batter has now gained headlines for his apology to an Indian fan. David Warner apologized to an Indian fan after he said that he had broken a billion hearts by winning the ODI World Cup. David Warner went to ‘X’ and wrote in his tweet:

David Warner showed some brilliant fielding skills during the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup against India and saved a lot of runs on the boundary and also in the 30-yard circle. It didn't look like a 37-year-old cricketer was playing against India as his approach and intent was like a young player.
The Indian team has the best chance to win its third ODI World Cup title and also break the ten-year-old drought of an ICC trophy but it was Australia who played better cricket in the final, which was the main reason behind them winning the match.
