Team India has been on a path of destruction as the Rohit Sharma-led side has been causing mayhem as they continue their undefeated streak in the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. The Indian side has clinched a spot in the Semifinal as they move ahead into their quest for the title. India has been ruthless, especially in terms of bowling. Pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Arsheep Singh have been wreaking havoc over the opposition batters. However, it looks like a couple of former cricketers are unable to digest Team India's success with the ball, as a former Pakistan skipper has levelled some heinous allegations against one of the team's pace stars.

Former PAK skipper accuses Team India, Arshdeep Singh of possible ball-tampering

Former Pakistan cricketer Inzamam ul Haq has put up some fresh allegations of ball tampering upon India pacer Arshdeep Singh. As things continue to go in the right direction for Team India, Inzamam's allegations have come to light. While making an appearance at a Pakistani news channel, the former PAK skipper revealed that he was astonished to see Arshdeep's ball getting so much swing after 15 overs. He believes that the team is tampering with the ball, implying that Arshdeep is involved.

"When Arshdeep Singh was bowling the 15th over, the ball was reverse swinging. With the new ball. Is it too early to get the reverse swing? Was the ball ready for reverse swing by the 12th or 13th over? Because when he came to bowl, the ball started reversing. The umpires should keep their eyes open," Inzamam said

Inzamam ul Haq made these statements following India's emphatic 24-run triumph over their bitter rivals Australia in the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground in Saint Lucia. With the win, the Rohit Sharma-led side have secured themselves a semifinal spot against England.

The tampering allegations over Arshdeep could be serious. But it is yet to be seen whether the ICC will look into the matter. Regardless, the pacer has been one of the team's consistent players with the ball. Arshdeep is one of the tournament's leading wicket-takers and recorded some of his best bowling figures. He will be vital as the team moves ahead into the competition.
