Formula One hero Oscar Piastri pays tribute to Australia after Cricket World Cup win in India

Amidst the ongoing Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, McLaren driver Oscar Piastri has gained headlines for his association with Cricket. Piastri was spotted wearing Australia's 2003 ODI World Cup jersey and congratulated the team for winning the 6th title. Team India was not able to defend 241 runs in the CWC 2023 final played at the world's largest cricket stadium and lost its ninth ICC knockout match in the last ten years.

Oscar Piastri congratulates Australia post CWC 2023 win 

Famous McLaren driver Oscar Piastri wore Australia's 2003 ODI World Cup jersey and congratulated the team for their win in the 2023 ODI World Cup. Australian driver Piastri went to his official Instagram handle and uploaded an image for the same. Sharing the post Oscar Piastri wrote:

Oscar Piastri recently took on his country teammate Lando Norris in the Formula One Ashes earlier this and was able to win the race. Piastri also thanked Australian legend Brett Lee for his 2003 ODI World Cup jersey. Lee also replied to the post and wrote, “Love This”. Apart from Brett Lee, Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne also replied on his Instagram post and wrote, “How good”, Piastri also responded to his comment and wrote, “Marnus Labuschagne love seeing you both on the television”.

The Australian team has every ICC tournament in their basket and also came back with a bang in the CWC 2023 after losing the first two games.
