As the game was on weekdays, it took some time to fill out the over 40,000-capacity stadium. By evening it was chock-a-block, as there were very few empty seats in the stadium. Michael Vaughan took note of the proceedings and posted on social media as he pointed out empty seats. "Why so many empty seats in #Delhi for the India Game !??? #INDvsAFG"

Harbhajan Singh took a dig at the former England captain as he replied to Vaughan, "Are u watching the game or empty seats ??"

On a batting beauty, India skipper Rohit (131 off 84) was unstoppable and flaunted his envious range of strokes. His record seventh World Cup hundred off 63 balls helped India gun down the target in 35 overs, giving a big boost to their net run-rate ahead of their third World Cup fixture against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 14. Virat Kohli (55 not out off 56) too looked good and took the team over the line with an uppish straight drive over the bowler’s head.

India will now face Pakistan on 14th October in The ODI World Cup at Narendra Modi Stadium.
