ICC ODI World Cup Final, India vs Australia live updates: Australia beat India to win 6th title

As soon as Maxwell completed one-and-a-half runs, he was roaring in joy and out came the Aussies running on to the field to hug and celebrate. KL Rahul is on his haunches while Siraj is in tears. KL and others try to console Siraj. Then the customary handshakes follow as the fireworks light up over the Narendra Modi Stadium. After the handshakes are done, the Indians head back inside with Bumrah spotted waving to the Indian fans who clap in appreciation.

Australia defeated India by 6 wickets to win their sixth ODI World Cup title. 

Marnus Labuschagne has completed his fifty. What a knock from him as well, he supported Head in all ways possible. Australia 16 runs away from victory now.

Australia have won the toss and captain Pat Cummins have decided to bowl first in the ICC ODI World Cup Final.

Toss to take place at 1:30 PM.

As the time goes by, we are coming closer to witness history at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

The pitch is expected to be on the slower side to assist the home spinner more. The ball will move around more under lights, and batting first will be an advantage here. The team that wins the toss will be looking to bat first, but both teams are capable of winning the game from any position.

The pitch in Ahmedabad has assisted spinners in the 2023 World Cup so far. Even though pace bowlers have picked more wickets, compared to the spinners, the latter have been very economical, going at just 4.89 runs an over. 
 

The bowlers should expect a consistent tempo and good bounce from the surface. With the ball remaining hard, the first ten overs of each innings will be very important.
 

Virat Kohli opted out of the optional practice session as Team India gears up for the World Cup final under the strict supervision of Rahul Dravid in Ahmedabad.

PM Modi will be present at the Narendra Modi Stadium as India prepares to take on Australia in the World Cup final in Ahmedabad.

Rohit Sharma: "Our bowlers have done very well. It has not been easy containing opposition and defending totals. So, our bowlers have done well under pressure. They have been professional. Our spinners have done well in the middle overs by taking wickets."
