The Indian cricket team is taking on Bangladesh in its third match of the ODI World Cup 2023. Batting first in Pune, the Bangladesh cricket team was able to put up a first-innings score of 256/8, however, the team started off well but was restricted by the Indian bowlers. Team India is currently placed on the top of the CWC 2023 standings with three wins out of three games.

Irfan Pathan exposes Pakistan during the IND vs BAN CWC 2023 match

The Indian cricket team was able to keep its ODI World Cup record intact against Pakistan and won its 8th consecutive match against the arch-rivals in Ahmedabad. The Indian team received a lot of support from the crowd whereas, the Pakistani team was trolled by the spectators for its poor performance. However, the PCB didn't like the approach by the Indian fans and they lodged a complaint to the ICC. Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan was asked about the same while doing commentary during the IND vs BAN CWC 2023 match. However, Pathan felt that the Pakistani team's approach against the Indian fans was not right and he revealed that he received the same treatment when he went to play in Pakistan. Pathan said on air: 

When I went to play in Pakistan , I remember crowd threw iron nail towards me and it hit me right under my eyes, but we didn't make unnecessary fuss about it like how PCB is crying about Ahmedabad crowd behaviour. 

Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra also thanked Irfan for bringing out the hatred he faced from the Pakistani fans and wrote on Twitter:

Replying to Chopra's tweet, Irfan said that he could have taken to the grave but believes that the fans are important for the Cricket and these things in the game do happen. Irfan Pathan wrote:

Team India aims to continue winning momentum against Bangladesh 

The Indian cricket team has played some brilliant cricket in the ODI World Cup 2023 so far and will aim to continue its momentum by winning the match against Bangladesh. Team India has the best opportunity to win the ODI World Cup after a span of 12 years and also for Rohit Sharma to end his career on a happy note.
