Team India batter Virat Kohli once again gave an example of his greatness during the India vs New Zealand CWC 2023 first semi final match and played an innings of 117 runs. The Indian batsman surpassed veteran batsman Sachin Tendulkar's record of 49 ODI tons and became the first batsman in the world to hit 50 ODI centuries.

KL Rahul's brilliance helps India get rid of Kiwi batter Devon Conway 

After the Indian cricket team's explosive first-innings display, the ‘Men in Blue’ struck early with the ball as well and it was ace pacer Mohammad Shami, who dismissed Kiwi opener Devon Conway for 13 runs off 15 balls. The wicket came during the first ball of the sixth over when Conway tried to drive a swinging ball outside the off stump which took the edge of his bat and went straight into the gloves of wicketkeeper KL Rahul. Rahul flew to his left and took a diving catch. 

Will Team India make a place in CWC 2023 finals? 

The Indian cricket team was defeated by New Zealand in the semi-finals of the 2019 ODI World Cup and had shattered the dreams of a billion Indian team fans. However, the 'Men in Blue' have been unstoppable in the ongoing edition of the ODI World Cup and finished the round-robin stage by topping the table. The Rohit Sharma-led side won nine games out of nine.

The Indian cricket team is the prime favourites to play in the finals of the 2023 ODI World Cup and can bring the World Cup trophy home after a gap of 12 years. Rohit Sharma will also have the best chance to add his name beside Indian greats like MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev.
