Mohammad Shami takes a jibe at South African team post-dominant win

Team India seamer Mohammad Shami played an important role in rattling the South African team for 83 runs in the second innings and removed quality batters such as Rassie van der Dussen and Aiden Markram. However, Shami didn't stop here and took a funny jibe at the Proteas after their dominant performance. While speaking to the official broadcasters after the IND vs SA CWC 2023 match, replying to a question Shami said, ‘ab dekho har match mein 400 run banaane vaalon ka haal’, which meant, ‘now look at what is the condition of those who scored 400 runs in every match’.

Mohammad Shami's continues sensational bowling performance in CWC 2023

Mohammad Shami missed out on the first four matches of the 2023 ODI World Cup due to the presence of all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who used to play the role of an extra-seam bowler. However, Shami was able to find a place in the team against New Zealand after Pandya was ruled out of the tournament due to an ankle injury. Shami picked up a fifer against New Zealand and repeated the same performance against Sri Lanka as well. Shami's performance in the CWC 2023 will be very important for the team considering the knockouts of the tournament.
