Mohammad Hafeez made a huge request to the ICC
Ex-Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Hafeez has urged the International Cricket Council (ICC) to increase the sport's openness by showing the result of the toss on in-stadium cameras. Hafeez, who captained Pakistan in 2012, recently discussed a controversial episode during his tenure as captain in an interview with a Pakistani TV outlet. He had a talk with the ICC tournament director at that time.
In an effort to be more open and honest, the former all-rounder suggested using the spider cam to zoom in on the coin and show the outcome of the toss. He said:

“I did that in 2012, I was the captain of Pakistan; it was a World Cup match; and the tournament director of the ICC, I made a request to him and gave him a suggestion that the ICC should have spider cams to record the results and make them public by zooming on the coin when it drops for more clarity
Because when they toss the coin, it goes 5-10 metres away from you, and the captains are far away.
I’m not doubting anyone's credibility, but that call should be shown publicly to the fans and world for better clarity.”
What happens during a toss?
It is noteworthy to mention that at this time, the sole individual who attentively examines the coin as it touches the ground and subsequently declares the outcome of the toss is the match umpire. A subset of spectators has voiced concerns regarding the reliability of the spin procedure, thereby criticising this practice.
