The Netherlands announced their 15-man roster for the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup earlier this month. Co-hosting the much awaited event in June will be the USA and the West Indies.
The Dutch team will be headed by wicketkeeper-batsman Scott Edwards, who captained them in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. But because of their responsibilities with county cricket, Colin Ackermann and Roelof van der Merwe will not be available for the Netherlands.
The T20 World Cup 2024 squad will contain left-arm spinner Tim Pringle, fast bowler Kule Klein, and opening batsman Michael Levitt.
Notably, Vikramjit Singh, Teja Nidamanuru, and Aryan Dutt—three players of Indian descent—have gained positions in the Dutch team. The Netherlands won their first match of the T20 World Cup, beating Nepal by 6 wickets.
Scott Edwards (c, wk), Aryan Dutt, Bas de Leede, Daniel Doram, Fred Klaassen, Kyle Klein, Logan van Beek, Max O’Dowd, Michael Levitt, Paul van Meekeren, Sybrand Engelbrecht, Teja Nidamanuru, Tim Pringle, Vikram Singh, Viv Kingma, Wesley Barresi
The first two games for the Dutch squad are set for June 4 and June 8 in Dallas and New York, respectively, to open their campaign. The Edwards-led team will then head to the West Indies to play in their final group games on June 13 and 17.
Cricket enthusiasts in India can watch all the games on Star Sports Network while live streaming will be available on Disney + Hotstar.
Fans in Nepal can watch ICC T20 World Cup 2024 live on ICC TV.
