'No better team to do it against': Mitchell Marsh's subdued caution to India ahead of Super 8 clash
After Australia lost to Afghanistan, skipper Mitchell Marsh sees the need for the team to regroup and aim to defeat India in their next T20 WC Super 8 clash.
It was a forgetful night for the Mitchell marsh-led Australia as they were handed a heavy defeat at the hands of the Rashid Khan-led Afghanistan. It was a night full of miracles in the Caribbean as The Afghans were able to limit the Aussies. Their intent was on display, and the Australians failed to capitalize on the advantages they possessed, and the game ended up being a thriller. After the match, skipper Marsh rued upon their mistakes, but he also sent a direct message to Team India and the Indian Cricket fans.

It was a nightmare for Australia when they failed to prevail against Afghanistan. The Rashid Khan-led side was in their A-game as they pulled off a miraculous win after they bowled the Aussies out before letting them reach the target. The Afghans sent out a strong statement with the win, as they established their position as an Asian cricket giant after India. At the post-match ceremony, Marsh talked about the loss, admitting that they were outplayed.
"They got 20 too many. And to be honest they played a really good game of cricket. We were outplayed tonight. [On not batting first, based on ground stats] We did think about it. A lot of teams have bowled first at this World Cup to get an idea of the surface.
"Don't think we lost at the toss. It was an off-night for us in the field, and we own that. We'll be back next game. It wasn't an easy wicket but both teams played on this surface," Mitchell Marsh said as quoted by ESPN Cricinfo.

However, Marsh's intent is now as clear as day: The Aussies need to defeat the Rohit Sharma-led Team India, and he feels their upcoming target is no better team to do so against.
"First and foremost it becomes clear for us. We need to win and no better team to do it against. Full credit to Afghanistan for tonight and we move on quickly," the Australian skipper said.
Team India will be up for a task when they would face Australia in their next Super 8 match.
