SA vs NZ: South Africa thrashed New Zealand by a massive margin of 190 runs in their seventh match of the ODI World Cup 2023 in Pune on Wednesday. Quinton de Kock smashed his fourth century in the ongoing edition of the tournament to help the Proteas put on a huge total of 357 runs on the board. Rassie van der Dussen also scored a century to his name. South Africa then bowled the Kiwis out for just 167 runs.

In the current standings of the tournament, South Africa sits atop the table with an impressive record of six victories in seven matches. They share an equal number of points with India, but their superior net run rate secures their lead. India, the only undefeated team in the competition thus far, holds the second position with 12 points from six matches.

Australia and New Zealand follow closely in the third and fourth spots, each amassing 8 points. Pakistan has climbed to the fifth spot with a total of six points, earned through three wins in seven matches. Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and the Netherlands occupy the sixth, seventh, and eighth rankings, respectively.

In a surprising twist, defending champions England find themselves at the bottom of the table, accumulating just two points, with Bangladesh one spot above them.

India will lock horns against Sri Lanka in their seventh match of the ODI World Cup 2023 on Thursday, November 2. The match is scheduled to start at 2:00 PM IST and will be held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
