"Yes, we felt the pain. Rohit and Virat were crying. Seeing that, it felt bad. Anyway, it was not meant to be. This team was an experienced one. Everybody knew what to do. And then, it was professional.
Everybody knew their routines and warm-ups," Ashwin said on his YouTube channel.

Virat Kohli finished as the top run-scorer of the ODI World Cup 2023 and won the 'Player of the Tournament' award. He smashed 765 runs in 11 matches and set the record for the most runs scored in a single edition of an ODI World Cup. Rohit Sharma scored the second-highest number of runs in the tournament.

Ashwin, on the other hand, played just one game for Team India in the entire tournament. He opened the World Cup for India in Chennai when the ‘Men in Blue’ locked horns against Australia on November 8. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and R Ashwin will next be seen in action during the two-match Test series against South Africa in December.
