Team India, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, are all set to begin their campaign in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, and their first opponent will be Ireland. The Men in Blue's artillery boasts a line-up which has attracted a lot of attention as it is distinct due to the fact that they boast a spin-heavy line-up. The side also gained some criticism after they missed out on some of their premier stars. But Rohit Sharma believes that the spin line-up will be critical for them as they begin their campaign in the United States of America and vie for the T20 World Cup title.

Rohit Sharma voices his backing for a spin-heavy India line-up for T20 World Cup 2024 campaign
As India sets foot into the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium to play their group stage opener, Team India skipper Rohit Sharma believes that the spinners will play a big role as the tournament progresses further.
"The spinners will have a role to play, a big one. Our spinners are all-rounders, Axar and Jadeja. They are required for a good balance of the team. In pace bowling all-rounders, we have Hardik and Shivam. We will think about how to use them in the tournament, as it progresses." Rohit Sharma said in the pre-match press conference.

The Men in Blue have already displayed their A-game against Bangladesh at the warm-ups, where they secured a run by a large margin. Regarding the upcoming match, Rohit expects it to be a great as well as a competitive match.

"It is going to be a great game, they have a great team. They play a lot of T20 cricket and a lot of their players play around the world in leagues. It will be as competitive as we play with other oppositions. We have to be at our best. That is how T20 cricket goes. If we lose our focus, there is a chance we do not end up on the right side," Rohit exclaimed.
